Story Behind The Song
I got saved in 1985, not long after seeing the television special on the late great planet earth. In 1982, Iron Maiden released the album,"Number of the Beast", which they originally wrote after watching a horror film of that title.They wouldlater write a song called "Two minutes to midnight",I had grown up in a church background, so biblical prophecy was a theme which was buzzing around pretty much everywhere in America,and to a lesser degree all over the rest of the world. I actually wrote this song back in 1997. The themes expressed in Hal linsey's work on biblical prophesy are just as relevant if not more so today then in 1986.The unfortunate thing is that a good portion of the world,including the United States, is spiritually dead.The time is coming...wake up!!!

A song about a matter of great spiritual urgency,about a matter that can't be put off even another moment. The world we live in is the one Jesus said would be around when he would return:a world where every covenant would be broken,every promise dashed,people would live in a constant state of conflict, with vicious repercussions for even the slightest atempts at deal-making or peacemaking.This is a world fast approaching spiritual midnight.This is a world Christ's church is about to leave. When we're gone, then the only thing which holds back the judgement of the world will be gone,and it will be too late to come to salvation.
