Being a Brit my self and only recently resident in the US (the last six years ) pubs are part of the British way of life.However there has been a rise in teenage binge-drinking in recent years.

A sixteen year olds night out in Britain -where pubs are part of the culture,and provide the main recreational pastime for many teenagers at the weekends (UK laws allow 18 year olds and over to drink alchohol)
