Lyrics
Well she's on a bender in the city splendour
God help all her next of kin
She's having a good time playing catch-up with free wine
Who knows where the night will end
And though it's the right time-you should be in bed by now
But Oh, at sweet sixteen, your world can never end
She's no victim of fashion-she's just in
Always knows what's happening
She's in heaven by ten to eleven
Hoping for her next lock-in
And though it's the right time-you should be in bed by now
But Oh, at sweet sixteen your world can never end
It's a national past-time though she swears it's the last time
boffing in the taxi home
Lying on the kitchen floor
How she got there she's not sure
And in the morning
Waking with the sun in her eyes
She'll be wondering Why ?
She'll be wondering Why ?
There's something about the city tonight
You can breathe it in the air it's all around
Something about the way you look tonight
If the morning never comes, well that's alright.
