this is a song of having your questions finally answered, and able to rest afterwards, with full commitment, realizing that you have finally changed. You are now a "new man", with your old self slowly drifting away, "lost at sea.'

i just had a simple melody in my head, almost "trance-like", ethereal, and wanted to try to describe some of the crazy thoughts that i get in my head, about my past meeting up with the present, facing them, then looking forward to a future without them.
