Description

Short Description of Song

out with the old, in with the new

Long Description of Song

this is a song of having your questions finally answered, and able to rest afterwards, with full commitment, realizing that you have finally changed. You are now a "new man", with your old self slowly drifting away, "lost at sea.'

Story Behind the Song

i just had a simple melody in my head, almost "trance-like", ethereal, and wanted to try to describe some of the crazy thoughts that i get in my head, about my past meeting up with the present, facing them, then looking forward to a future without them.

Lyrics

Lost At Sea

Written by: Todd Trebony

I wanted my name remembered.
I wanted my time to come.
But that day, it never came
And left me shallow and numb...

Chorus:
Take these thoughts from me.
I gave up trying "to be."
My heart is anchored down you see.
But my old man is Lost at Sea.

Your name will always be remembered.
I know that soon Your time will come.
And when that Day arrives,
this new man,
he'll take Your hand.
I'll be ready to fly...

repeat Chorus.
then: "oh...oh..."(humming arrangement)

Bridge:
Take this life from me,
Cuz i'm never going back.
Take this life from me,
Cuz i'm never going back.
Take this life from me.
No i'm never going back.
Take this life from me....

Repeat Chorus.
