Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song after my fiance broke off our one year engagement and married someone else. We were together for three years total. I had a lot of conflicting emotions when she left. I desperately wanted her back, but she wanted to be with someone else and had erased me from her life instantly. I felt like love had done more emotional damage to me than it was worth, and never wanted to go through the pain of losing someone again, so this song conveys the idea that love can be emotionally dangerous. I did not know how to cope with the idea that she willingly left me for someone else, and turned to music as a way to vent. I typically do not write metal or screaming music, and really didn't even know how to scream, but I had stored up so much rage from the situation that I was able to channel my emotions into this song.

Song Description

Love = Death is an epic song that conveys two conflicting emotions after a breakup. The main character is angry and rejecting someone who left him, while at the same time he is still longing for that person in his life. The person singing is upset that the other person willingly walked away from the relationship and erased him from her life.
