Lyrics

My soul is weary.. I've been on trial for half the night.
No judge or jury.. No wrong or right it's just my life.
I'm talking in circles now.
This line of questioning is not right.
Appalled by the charges, I'm alone and stripped of all my rights.

I'm not a perfect angel sent to be her savior.
I won't be her beck and call ever again.
I won't be her anchor so that I can be her downfall.
Things have been this way for too long.

I'm back on the stand with my bleeding heart in my tired hands.
And I don't understand how it comes to this again and again.

I'm tired of drinking bottles of courage and holding this inside.
This won't be the first time or the last time we'll have this fight.
I'm tired of thnking I have some need to testify.
If she don't believe in me no more, What's the point of dragging me out into the light.

She won't take my dignity by questioning my honesty.
I've given her the best of me, it just isn't right.
Can she give herself to me with so much to hold over me.
Things have been this way for too long.

I'm back on the stand with my bleeding heart in my tired hands.
And I don't understand how it comes to this again and again.
