Mom's Journey Home

Song Description

My Mom went into hospice care on 12/15/10. That emotional and difficult time inspired me to write this piece. Mom passed away on 09/04/11. My Mom came from Heaven, and this song represents "Mom's Journey Home." I love and miss her very much. Prior to Mom passing, my daughter did one of the most selfless things I have seen. Rozalind was 23 years old, and was engaged to be married on Aug 18th 2012. Rozalind wanted the ultimate Princess Wedding; so it was to be held in a beautiful old Castle with 120 guests being served only the best food and wine. The cake would be custom designed, the flowers all white Lilies and the tables set and decorated with fine linens, china, crystal, and glowing with beautiful candles. Then things changed. When Mom's health took a severe turn for the worse; so much so that we actually had last rights administered to her. It was a very difficult and emotional time indeed. Rozalind was very troubled by this turn of events in that she has always been close to my Mom. This series of events inspired Rozalind to fore-go her Princess Wedding and she chose to get married on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the hospice home where my Mom was at. Obviously it was a very simple, small and intimate ceremony...but one of the most beautiful acts of kindness and selflessness I have seen. Rozalind told me that she just couldn't live with herself if her Grandma didn't get to see her get married...a promise my Mom made to Roz a long time ago...a promise that Rozalind made sure that my Mom could fulfill. We used this piece of music for their wedding March and for the wedding video that I produced. You can see the video on YouTube by searching: Roz & Joe - A Very Special Wedding Video. It's also on my "Videos" page here on Broadjam.

Very nice piece of music. I really like the melody and for the most how the parts fit together.

Very catchy piano chords progression, well played and well built
Both sad and comforting. Arrangements are on spot and it really creates a mood.
The mix is crystal clear and clean.
There's a bit of Elton John in this. The last section with orchestration is really good.

Pretty Pretty Pretty tune! Great for a love scene in a movie or tv show!Go get em!
