My girlfriend and I are seperated by distance...I live in Tennessee...and she lives in seattle....so that's where the idea came from.

one is expressing to another everything they won't do...like...stop loving them stop protecting them, stop embracing them and so forth....and the hook is saying something like: "The day that I stop loving you...or protecting you..or embracing you..or the day I leave you is when....." and then it starts talking about things that are highly unlikely..like: When the streets of New york are empty...or like when Angels lose their wings...now these things like oither things in life...could happen..but it's highly impossible and never ever does.....this song is stating one's commiment to the other and what he/she will or will not do.
