News

I have recently completed an English-language version of the Brazilian mega-hit "Esperando na Janela" by Targino Gondim which plays almost non-stop every year during the season of Forro music in the Northeast of Brazil. The English-language version is entitled "If She's Waiting in the Window" and the arrangement features a fusion of Forro (which is similar to Tejano Music) and Jazz. I hope you enjoy!!

Intro
C D
G Em
A7 D

Verse
G C
By dawn the streets will come to life
G D
Carrying people on their way
G C
The restaurants, the stores and shops
G D
Will open for the day

G C
The ancient courthouse in the heart of town
G D
Withstands the changing times
G C
And all around as noise abounds
G D
You can hear the old bells chime

Chorus
Am D
But in the quiet of the night in the Town of Leesburg
G Em
The whole world seems at peace
Am D
All the stars up in the sky shine so clear and bright
G Em
Illuminating empty streets

Bridge
C D
Oh how grand
G Em
ThereÂ?s calm throughout the land
C D
It feels so right
G Em
When silence fills the night
A7
Sleep in serenity
D
Till the early morning light

Instrumental Break

Verse
G C
New buildings on the edge of town
G D
Reflect the morning sun
G C
The corridor reverberates
G D
So much commerce to be done

G C
When afternoon give way to dusk
G D
People climb back in their cars
G C
They race so fast to beat the rush
G D
As the old town fades to dark

Chorus
Am D
ThereÂ?s a still ness to the night in the Town of Leesburg
G Em
That puts a body right at ease
Am D
The only motion is the breeze that whispers through the trees
G Em
Â?Hush now, everyoneÂ?s asleepÂ?

Bridge
C D
Oh how grand
G Em
ThereÂ?s calm throughout the land
C D
It feels so right
G Em
When silence fills the night

Sleep in serenity

Till the early morning light
