Formed in 2003, great BIG noise brings together some of the best musicians and writers in the greater Chicago and Milwaukee areas. great BIG noise is: Sam Acosta (bass/vocals), Matt Harris (guitar/vocals), Mark S. Hoffmann (guitar/vocals), Bill Skafish (drums/vocals), and Mark Wegener (keyboards/guitar/vocals). The band has played at local festivals and private parties before concentrating on recording their debut CD "You're Only As BIG As The Noise You Make," released in early 2005. The album displays the group's fondness for up-beat and enjoyable music that is both catchy and electric. Although each band member may have influences from other bands and genres, their collaboration of solid songwriting, clever wordplay, and pop culture references defines their unique sound.
