Story Behind The Song
Nineteen and stupid, cheat on the one you love and regret it--it'll make for a great song.
Song Description
This song was written when I was about nineteen. The only girl I'd ever cheated on, was the girl I loved more than anything. Many times I would stare across the tracks toward the direction she lived, and lament. She is truly the inspiration for this song.

Lyrics
I tried a thousand times to forget her,
To just give up, on our sweet love.
The things I've done just make me sicker,
For in my heart, I know that she's the one.
I talked myself, out of her sweet touch,
And now only time can turn the tide.
I'd give anything, for her to see through my eyes,
And feel everything, I feel inside.
Chorus:
I throw a penny in the river,
stand in the rain and shiver,
and wish upon the first star, everynight.
I stare across the train tracks,
and wish that I had her back.
She's out of sight, but not so out of mind.
I still remember the way I met her,
And how she made me feel inside.
Now I peer into the darkness,
But I can't see the guiding light.
I stand on the shores of forever,
And think about the past.
I can see, that I was wrong once again,
For I thought our love, would always last.
Repeat Chorus:
