Lyrics
Between A Rock (Iraq) and Hard Place
Lyrics & music by Williams & Williams2003
Chorus
My children theyve put you where youve never been
My children, theyve made our world a small, small place
Oh children, sons and daughters, of the human race
Your Mothers are between a rock and hard place
Verse 1
Ive lived thru protests wars and riots
Ive lived in times of blessed peace
Ive lived by law when I didnt buy it
When did our freedoms fly away like geese
Chorus 2
My children Im somewhere that Ive never been
My children theyve made you one heroic face
They sing your laud then turn their backs when you cant win
Theyve put us all between a rock and hard place
Verse2
Who stole our flag when we werent looking?
Will the stars and stripes fly in disgrace?
Will they steal the futures of all our children?
Will there be no after- saving grace?
Verse3
Once eagles, hawks, doves would fly together
Theyve shot the eagle, silenced doves so hawks could win the race
Theyve shut our voices out with strips of duct tape
And left us here between Iraq and hard place
