Slacker

Story Behind The Song

The middle of exams, and not wanting to study or do any work, therefore kicking back and writing a song about how I was too lazy to study and how I didn't want to.

Song Description

The song has a jazzy beginning to it, slightly mysterious and slow. It sets the mood of the song and the theme of time running out, and there not being enough of it. The chorus is a hard guitar riff that is repeated plenty during the song. Lyrics tell the story of laziness and not caring about things, and not caring about being lazy! The song ends with the chorus riff and a typical unpolished guitar finish.

Lyrics

Days go by with unsolved crimes
Time goes by too fast
Not enough time to catch the culprit
What? I don't understand
Translate

You're back to square one
Two weeks and still no one
It's not that bad I still have time
On me

Dazed and semi conscious
Throughout the day
I need not think, think, think
I'm going my way

You're back to square one
Two weeks and still no one
It's not that bad I still have time
On me

The time comes great
The pressure's on
Six hours late
Soon it'll all be gone

Why don't you get your self together
And do some work everyday
Everyday

Well if I could
I would but I can't
I'm just lazy I'm a slacker
I'm a lazy lazy slacker
