If I'd Take My Turn

Verse
Can you still see me
Are you still there
Do you still need me
Do you still care

Refrain
I still wonder if I'll ever get it right
I gather up my confidence like the shadows cast their light
You know sometimes I gotta to hold on tight

Verse
If I could feel you
Perhaps I'd learn
That I would heal too
If I'd take my turn

Refrain
I turn to face the truth that guides me through this life
Embrace the journey though the end is out of sight
Let go, this time I just might get it right

Bridge
If you can hear me
Make it clear to me somehow
That all I have is here and now

Verse
My mind it'll tease me
It goes where I've been
It shouts from the outside
While my heart cries from within

Refrain
And I will change, exchange indifference for delight
Leave the past behind me, and the future out of sight
You know what's left just might turn out right

good singing and musicianship. nice solo

I like a song with a real "honest vocal". This song has that crystal clear quality. Nice instrumentation with the fiddle. Favorite lyric: "gather up my confidence like the shadows cast their light." I like the female background vocal.

Nice song and a really believable vocalist

Very nice song. I particularly enjoyed the fiddle, in there. Loved the overall presentation, including the hook. Great job.

I like the major to minor you're doing a lot as it takes the song from a straight melody to something more interesting & the voice is great. The backing vocals are working well too. The switch from violin to electric guitar voicing is great. The minor thing is actually quite addictive! Reminds me a little of Guy Clark.

I like the lead vocals, sounds a bit like Charlie Pride - I also like the drums and lead guitar.

A smooth crossover type song that has a country-folk-pop flavor making it a joy to listen to for a wide range of folks. And that rich voice sounds great and is a perfect addition to this song... and probably many more I've yet to listen to! Nice, comfortable and a good listen.

Good, bouncy country song, with clear accurate lead and backing vocals and a bright accompaniment.

loved you having female in background harmony...nice color on your voice, instrumentation was well done.

Pleasant, competant performance of an easy-listening type of song. Moves along briskly with good vocal work - specially the deep tones.

Very tasteful guitar-work. The instrumentation and arrangement is excellent.

This song has great potential, really enjoyed it....love the guitar. Great vocals.

A sincere heart-felt statement of hope and faith.

Very nice work! Great voice for this genre. Love the message of the song!

Very clean and well balanced recording. the voice works very well and has a fine presence. The arrangement and instrumentation is very supportive of the melody. The lyrics have a nice phrasing that rolls with the melody. Very well done.
