Song Description
"What Is Love?" searches for an answer to a very personal question that is impossible to answer. The more questions the singer asks, the more elusive the answer becomes. It's slow, classic rock sound is hauntingly beautiful and the melody is one that you can't get out of your mind. Piano, a french horn (synth), lush strings and back-up vocals all on top of a tight, punchy 4-piece rock band called Jam@One give the song a very serious, ethereal flavor. It's a beauty.

Lyrics
What Is Love?
Words & music copyright 1993 by
Robert B. Dimick
Love, What Is Love? Tender as a touch
Bitter as war fragile as peace wrapped in a hug
How is it found? Will we hear a sound?
A gentle touch, taste of wine visions in a cloud
Is it blindness a killing kindness that sort of high-ness
Balanced on the edge between emotion and devotion without a notion
Of where the voice is calling from that wants you and it haunts you like an old tune
All I want to know is what is love?
Where is love? Hiding up above
On the wind through the trees on mountain tops
Out or within how does love begin?
Years ago here and now where does it end?
Are we in it or without it how about it?
If love is all around is it elusive or reclusive where does love live?
In the laughter or the tears of little children or a good friend in a one-night stand
Looking all around me where is love- love- love?
Oh please sit right down and talk to me teach me all there is to know
If you succeed and I have some epiphany
Then I promise you that I will spread the word of love
Everywhere I go
Love, What Is Love? Seems I don?t know much
But I know there can never be enough
Is it giving is it taking is it forsaking
The one and only person that you?d live for and you?d die for ?til there?s no more
Left for you to give besides your heart and your soul and you?d gladly give it all
