Story Behind The Song
a friend of mine suggested that i, as a songwriter, needed to comment on what was going on in the world today. having never written politically charged music, i struggled with the idea. how to not sound preachy or cheesy. how to communicate the way the events post 911 have effected me. i feel good about what war parade says and feel empowered voicing my opinions through music.
