Story Behind The Song
Once, I fell onto a very hard time. I was living out on my own, every choice I made seemed to be the wrong one, and I kept going deeper and deeper into debt. My last resort was to turn to my mother to ask if I could move back home with her for a little while to get back on my feet again, when I realised that I had not shown her the love and affection she rightfully deserved from me over the past 10 years.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
I know what you want, do you know what I need
I need your loving touch, I need the life you breathe
Take me under your wing, show me how to live
Be the mother I love, the father I never had
Bridge:
Because if you could only know what you mean to me
I think that you would see things so much differently
I just can't thank you enough for being there for me
I really love you so much, it's just so hard to say
Chorus: (Background chorus - Gave me a life)
But when I look into your eyes I know that I belong
I know as long as you live that I will always have a home
Somewhere to run and hide from all the struggles of my life
I never want to lose you you're the one who gave me a life
Verse 2:
I know what you're feeling, it's the same for me
Your love for me is so strong, it's not that hard to see
You have brought me so far, I would have died on my own
You are the mother I know, I'll never let you go
