Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song after trying and failing at getting my point across to my wife. Of course, this is something that happens in every relationship, yet we all have different ways of expressing our frustrations. I write music. She and I have laughed about that day, and hope that the chorus line of the song is a reminder that even if you've tried a million times to say the right thing, and it still hasn't come across the right way, it's not because he/she isn't listening....it's just because we're wired differently. At least that's what we got out of the situation. Well, that and a great song. I hope you enjoy it!!! -Chris

The frustrations of any relationships stem from trying to communicate a message and not having it "compute" with the other person. That is the way it works most of the time, but we are all still in relationships, right? That is the whole story behind "Gave it Away".....A heartfelt song for the everyday listener. Good for anyone that's ever been in a relationship...which is all of us!
