Story Behind The Song
I have witnessed more than my fair share of the cruelty people can deliver to one another. None of us are Mother Theresa. We have all sinned, hurt others, done things we regret. In the song, my character is an assassin. "12 in the clip, 1 in the pipe" refers to having 12 bullets in the magazine and 1 bullet in the barrel ready to fire. The assassin is totally immersed in drugs, alcohol, debauchery, the seven deadly sins. At some point, he is saved, redeemed; pulled out of the 9th ring of hell.

Lyrics
REDEMPTION
By Howard Levinson
Living on the edge of a knife
Whiskey, bullets, beer and wine
Showing no mercy, just givin pain.
I got 12 in the clip, one in the pipe
I was the dreaded stalker in the night
You pulled me back from that ring of fire
Out of control you got a hold of my soul
From the ninth ring of hell,
you pulled me up the well
Past the River of Styx, Lucifer's fixed
Medusa and Sin
With You, I win
I was a sinner, a gypsy in time
Get a bag, steal a button, shoot a dime
Darkness and sin and bottles of Gin
I had seven deadly sins as a life
No family, friends, lover or wife
You pulled me back from that ring of fire
Out of control you got a hold of my soul
From the ninth ring of hell,
you pulled me up the well
Past the River of Styx, Lucifer's fixed
Medusa and Sin
With You, I win
