Easy listening on the ears. I like the picture the lyrics paint. Nice guitar work, the slide guitar sound. The fiddle/violin sound also helps the song out tremendously. Unique lyrics. Vocals fit mood of the song.

Maybe the song needs a strong bridge to give the arrangement more variety and maintain the opening level of interest for the close out of the song. The writer develops the storyline well and delivers the vocal at a consistent level. I listened twice.
