VERSE ONE:
The first time I saw you
I could have turned and run
But a voice said,
"Stick around and have a little fun."
Was that just a big mistake
Or some foolish hope?
Before I could ask your name
You had me on the ropes
CHORUS:
I looked around and I was in the middle
A web was spinning
There was no escape
And it did not take too long before I knew
I was tangled up in you.

VERSE TWO
We drifted to the dance floor
And fought the urge to kiss
Our bodies screaming,
"Just let go and give into the bliss"
I inhaled your perfume
Like some forbidden drug
Then your eyes whispered,
"Are we falling in love?"
CHORUS:
How could this be
Love happening so fast?
Our hearts were racing
We were losing control
And it did not take too long before we knew
You were tangled up, too

BRIDGE
Now, when love comes at first sight
It can last for just one night
But we've gone on for years
Dancing thru the tears
Entangled in our lives
CHORUS
I looked around and we're both in the middle
Of a life that's simple
Loving and sweet
And there 's nothing that could make me be untrue
I'm still tangled up in you

This has a Neil Young vibe and sound to it. Beautiful! All the backing vocals including yours are solid!

Well arranged, charismatic vocals, very good recording, solid hook, market potential built into in every line.

Nice intro and a pretty song. Noticed guitar work and other instruments blending with harmony. Common and trite lyrics at first, but made good with reference to rope and getting tangled up with the other person. Vivid portrait of the senses during the dance encounter. Uplifting transition at 2:25. Universal theme which should have broad appeal. Glad the story had closure with a good ending.

It must be my lucky day to run on to a tune as good as this. Perfect in every way... writing, performance, vocally, production all top notch stuff. A really great listen and ripe for the big time. Bravo!

This is Americana rock but it's not contemporary country in my opinion but that's not a bad thing...there are more opportunities for you for placements in movies and television and commercials for this style of indie singer songwriter music...this isn't what they play on contemporary country radio stations...nice melodies and a great band...smooth vocal

The lyrics are very strong. Good lyric ideas.

The intro guitar work was very nice, very soft and laid back. When it picked up it added interest to the song and supported the lead in to the vocals. It was a pretty song. You did some good guitar work in this song. Good job.

This is a well-written and recorded folk song. Good lyrics, good hook, fine instrumental performances, arrangement and recording. Well done.

Really strong vocal presence.......good tune......well constructed song.......nice guitars and a compelling story line.......

The song was well produced. The instrumentation and vocals were clean and crisp. The song had kind of an "old Country" feel that was refreshing too hear. It's the sort of song that I could envision being used in a TV or Movie soundtrack as background.

Love this song!! So much imagery with the lyrics! It painted a picture right away!!! Nice vocals.... Great instrumentations.... Could easily be used in a film:)!!!

The lyrics are lovely - free verse - though they don't agree with the music around some of the corners. A beautiful sentiment that would make a perfect anniversary song, or a serenade from under the lady love's balcony.

Great sounding recording. Well arranged. Very interesting song...I listened a couple times. The melody has me humming it even after the song ends. Great song!

THIS SHOULD BE ON EVERY COUNTRY POP RADIO STATION ON PLANET EARTH!--enuff said---cheers--JOE.--(hope it gets there)
