This song has a good feel too it. Kind of an "Old Country" feel too it. The instrumentation and vocals worked well for the song. I enjoyed listening to it. I can see being used in a soundtrack possibly.
I like the backing track. Good playing by all players. Nice groove that moves along well and gets your attention. I also like the phrase "Greyhound heading southbound." Good that you added a key change, right at the right time. Very good vocal character.
A really great first line that really set the stage. Didn't take long to be feeling sorry for this sad sack...the vocal was pretty wobbly, but that only made the song work better...he kinda sounded like a guy in the middle of a bad patch...and that last line about the bus driver being a woman set the stage again...for another song...lol
Like the lyric direction, and the recording is top-notch.
