Story Behind The Song

The actual back story on this lyric involves a young lady who lives in a big city and continually has to deal on the streets with men obnoxiously trying to get her attention. When she lets them know she's not interested, they immediately resort to calling her the B word -as if a polite respectful response were impossible. So in response to that scenario is this fantasy lyric about a guy whose come-on is attempting to be extremely respectful and complimentary, but maybe it is still too loud and overbearing. He is rejected and shocked, but upon soul searching he understands the error in his ways and ends the interaction politely and positively.

Song Description

This original 45 second song was inspired by the vocal stylings of Kevin Coyne and Wild Man Fischer. The "hook" for this song came to me one day like a gift from beyond and I picked up my iPhone and sang the title and first line into the voice recorder app. Well that little golden snippet sat there on my phone for over a year patiently waiting to be developed into a real song. Finally one day, I got motivated to flesh it out into an actual "song"/ rap/spoken word piece. I immediately scheduled a session at the legendary underground recording hangout, Trailing Edge Studio and that's where the magic happened. "Hey!"-give it a listen and you too will fall in love with a truly unique novelty song.
