Story Behind The Song
Crossroad Y band's members come from different parts of the world and, like many other emigrants, left behind their loved ones in search of a better future. Two band members lost someone they loved, someone very dear to them while living thousands of miles away and not being able to say goodbye. In the lyrics of Funny Little Things, they express their dream of being there for their perishing friend and they live through the experience of saying goodbye through the magic of silence, accepting the fate and learning to let go.
Song Description
We all have or will lose someone we love, someone we care about. Sometimes we don't get to say goodbye. Funny Little Things is a story of a dear family member or a friend on their death bed, it is a tale of living a great distance apart and not being able to get there on time to say the final goodbye. But it is a story of hope and love as despite the sorrow we hold on to the memories that remain and the little things that we've learnt from the person we mourn that will guide us in our lives. The song is charged with emotions of deep love, sorrow but also of holding on to the funny little things that will always remind us of the person who had passed away.

Lyrics
Funny Little Things
A little magic silence knows
I'm gonna love you till time goes
There's no need to say a thing
Ain't it tragic when you fall
You say you're ready, heaven calls
Remember funny little things
And now I'm on my way
For as long as it will take
To bring you song an laughter
For if I hesitate
Then it may be too late to say
Those funny little things
Heartfelt memories, stories told
But on their faces sorrow shows
Voices carried by the wind
Light a fire when it snows
Upon your rock new flower grows
And he's a funny little thing
And now I'm on my way
For as long as it will take
To bring you song an laughter
For if I hesitate
Then it may be too late to say
Those funny little things
Your palm
So cold now
Silent tears fall
And in my arms
I hold on
As I learn to let go
And now I'm on my way
And now I'm on my way
For as long as it will take
To bring you song an laughter
For if I hesitate
Then it may be too late to say
Those funny little things (x2)
