Meteorite

Story Behind The Song

Driving back from Hollywood to Burbank I passed a very unfortunate looking man who made me think how fortunate I am, everyday even though I found life hard after the break up of my marriage. Also Mark Peckham had challenged me to write something a bit like Katy Perry's Firework. : )

Lyrics

Meteorite
Everyday is a struggle for me just to wash my face and tie my shoe. Wow, how lazy am I?
You've left a crater in my life
and nothing is replacing you
Everyday I wage a battle in the sky and I loose my way following you,
When you leave a crater in my life
from trying to keep up with you
You are a meteorite
The devastation and the light
Just like a meteorite ah ah ah
Everyday I tried to shower in your light, I could not withstand the force of you. Now how crazy am I
Your blaze was total destruction to me
need to escape the pull of you.
Everyday I leave a little bit behind and move myself back into view,
When you leave a crater in my life
from trying to keep up with you
You are a meteorite
The devastation and the light
Just like a meteorite ah ah ah ah
You always thought it was funny, I couldn't keep up with you
You always said I was silly, I trying to keep up with you
You always thought you were so much better than me and maybe you were
But now I'm gonna find my way to the sky
I'm gonna fly like a star
I'm gonna fly like a
Meteor...ite......!
Ah ah ah ah
You were a meteorite
a meteorite!
now i'm a meteorite ah ah ah!
You were a meteorite
a meteorite
Now I'm a meteorite ah ah ah!
I'll be, I'll be I'll be. ---- I'll be, I'll be I'll be. --- I'll be, I'll be I'll be --- I'll be.I'll be, I'll be.
You always thought it was funny that I couldn't keep up with you , you always thought I was slow x2
