Lyrics

In my granny's time on earth, she raised a lovely garden.
Her smile was like sunshine, so bright and life-giving,
Her embrace was so warm, it made life worth living.
Her warm hands were dry and rough, but never changed her gentle touch.
Her plants and flowers, trees and shrubs,
Were nurtured by her tender love.
(Chorus)
In my granny's time on earth, she raised a lovely garden
In my granny's time on earth, she raised a lovely garden

Raised in faith for many years, her garden filled with laughter and tears.
And all the weeds that dared to sprout, she knew which to pull out.
She left the roses so full of beauty, she felt the thorns, it was her duty
And guided them with her gentle hand.
(Chorus)
In my granny's time on earth, she raised a lovely garden
In my granny's time on earth, she raised a lovely garden

Now she tends a new garden, in the shadow of God's love
And when our time on earth is over, she prepares for us to join her
She touched them all with her gentle hand, and guided them with faith so grand
Loved us every day of our lives, protected us in times of strife
Now she tends a new garden
(Final Chorus)
It was my granny's garden, she raised it so tenderly
It was my granny's garden, it was her family
(Repeat X2)
