I have been studying music composition, history, theory, and orchestration since 1987. I've also learned to play a bit of piano, clarinet and cello over those years.
In my compositional training, I'm mostly self taught. Much was learned through study of textbooks and scores at the public library and from a couple of correspondence courses by Dick Grove.
My favorite composers of classical music are of the romantic era; composers such as:
Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Berlioz, Elgar, Vaughn-Williams,
My favourite film composers are:
John Barry, Ennio Morricone, Elmer Bernstein, and James Horner.
My recordings are played by "Finale" music scoring software through a "Garritan Personal Orchestra" soft synth.
I hope you enjoy my music.
