My love of music and lyric writing began in my early teens. At age fifteen I had begun my recording endeavors and a couple years later granted a scholarship and completed my studies in voice and composition at California State University at Northridge. Soon thereafter I released several projects on my own independent label, Paradise Boutique Records.
Indigenous world music inspired me to create two global compilations for K-Tel Records and explore multi-cultural sounds in my own compositions. In 2002 I released, Heart of the Mother, a retrospective collection that spans over two decades of my work.
I developed a unique musical style, which includes cedar flute, voice, world percussion and technology; a blend of contemporary and world folk traditions. I also produce others and have composed for film, video, and television. I continue to perform as a featured artist at conferences, workshops, and fundraisers.
