When a heavy metal drummer meets up with a punk bass player and a new classical solo piano player, a new substance is added to the musical periodic table: The SDS Trio.

Phil Schuldt (bass, guitar), Jason Dirks (Drums), and Michael Strening Jr. (Piano) all met while writing the music for the independent film
"American Legacy".

Excited and energized by what they scored together, they decided to formalize their partnership, and they have continued to compose and tour as the "SDS Trio".

While combining elements of jazz, rock, and classical music, their music has proven difficult for them to categorize, and they welcome any suggestions.

The SDS Trio has just finished scoring another film for Group Mind Films, "Trubadeaux: A Restaurant Movie".
