Maurice Johnson better known as "Lil Reece" was three years old when his younger brother and him were adopted and separated from their two older sisters,Life before that seized to exist. As a kid growing up in Columbus Ohio "Lil Reece" strived to play professional basketball but couldn't keep his grades up and like many other young african americans in the inner city he had turned to a life of crime getting involved in gang violence, drug distribution,and robbery. After years of having little to no success in life Lil reece decided to inlist in the United States Navy only to be dishonorably dischared for Marajuana. Lil Reece had always had a passion for music but not untill 1997 had it began to play a major role in his life. He started with writing and raping. However, making beats was (and still is) intellectually liberating and became his main interest. "Never Forget You", was the title of his first record; made in memory of his cousin Paul Arnold and close friend David Anderson who both died in the same year due to gang violence. Things were going well and positive for "Reece". After excessive thinking, he realized that if Snoop could find Bow Wow in the same city he was in, then anything was possible for him. He and his friends had started putting music together and were quite productive. Unfortunately, after "Reece" had let go of the street life, the street life wouldn't let go of him. "Reece" had gotten into trouble with the law for drug traficking, assault and disorderly conduct and landed him in jail and on probation. Currently in College and set to graduate with an associates degree in music production Lil Reece has finally put his past behind him and is now on the right track to have major sucess in the near future. Now in 2009 "Lil Reece" is planning to bring a new fresh sound to the music industry with his production and vocals that without a doubt is gonna be something you wanna hear.
