Cavanah was born in the heart North Philadelphia’s Soul doo-wop era. She is the daughter of living soul legend Robert Irvin known as Bobby Love. Growing up in the asphalt streets of North Philly row houses, corner liquor stores and store front churches on every block, Cavanah understood the pulse of the streets by embracing every aspect of life. “It's not where you live, it’s how you live” she says. Cavanah is often inspired by the good, the bad, and the in between that is alive in and around our society. She often listens and studies artist who have pioneered our musical history. James Brown, Sisters Love, Marva Whitney, and George Clinton are in frequent rotation when Cavanah is not performing.
