Jay graduated from Nashville State Community College in 1998 in Industrial Electrical Maintenance and worked at Shiloh Industries from April 1994 until May of 2010 as an Industrial Electrician. He has also graduated from the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) Nashville in April 2007. He has worked with Verge Recording Studio since 2006 and Mix It Up Studios with Jim Lightman since 2007. Jay has been writing since the early nineties. He currently writes with Tim Daley and Jon Gray. Jay has been married for 20 years and has two daughters MacKenzie (7) and Makayla (3). Jay enjoys playing guitar, writing and recording music, and spending time with his girls.
