Drawing on many influences from numerous genres including psychedelic, funk, grunge, classic rock, reggae and even country, Junebug fuses together the best of all worlds to create a sound that is uniquely their own. The lyrical hooks, funky rhythms and rock n roll licks have caused countless crowds to get up and boogie. Singer/guitarist Anthony Bergman and drummer Tony L. Kollman first met one another in Kindergarten. They became acquainted with guitarist Dustin Marks in the ninth grade. Now, as fortune would have it, they have found themselves and one another in the Twin Cities. They met up with bassist Nick Wosika, who was the final ingredient in completing the Junebug sound. Their longstanding friendship and age-old rapport have extended to their musical relationship, propelling them into their own individual feel and energetic vibe.

Modern Day Fairy Tales

Modern Day Fairy Tales is Minneapolis-based Junebug's follow up to their 2008 debut album, Share, and is mostly made up of older material from Junebug's "way-back" catalog. The songs were written by younger men in simpler times and reflect a light-hearted, humorous and care-free period in the life of the group. The band decided it would be a shame if these old songs were lost to the ages, so they revived them, breathed new life into them and recorded them with the hope that their audience would get to know Junebug just a little bit better. Modern Day Fairy Tales was recorded in February 2010 at Fur Seal studio in Minneapolis with engineer and mixer Joe Johnson, who has worked with such artists as The Bad Plus's Dave King and premier drummers Peter Erskine and Michael Bland. The album will be released independently by Junebug on July 10, 2010.
