Pushing the boundaries of what is considered'normal'or 'acceptable'practice.
The ethic is "any means is acceptable to effect the process".
RaDiOxKrap grew from the need to freely express musical inspiration and the desire to record the results. It all began back in 1995 in Auckland New Zealand.
Karl and Rupert had a small studio and started recording all of their music sessions using recycled domestic audio equipment.
They soon realized on listening back, that there were many great gems of inspiration which might have previously been improvised and discarded in the heat of the moment. These recordings though rough and ready contain an openness and stream of consciousness which is lost in more controlled circumstances.
RaDiOxKraP started as a collective but it really stands up as a genre on it's own.
