A songwriter/composer, recording artist/performer, music producer and music educator, Bob has taught music business, independent record production and music publishing for over ten years at Mercy College, Queensborough College, and New York University.

His song, “Feelin’ More Like Christmas” is a seasonal TV hit that has been featured on the CBS daytime drama, “The Young and the Restless”, USA Networks’ “Twelve Days of Christmas” and the TRIO Network.

Bob has written music for Special Olympics (official theme song, “Take A Hand, Make A Friend”), HBO, Rocher Candy, The Oxygen Network ( “Good Morning, I Love You” was featured on the edgy comedy, “Good Girls Don’t”) and most recently for the SPIKE TV mini-series “Invasion Iowa”.

He performs regularly with his group, “City Rhythm”, for Hospital Audiences, bringing rock and roll music to those who would otherwise not be able to experience it.

Bob has a Master's degree in Music Technology from New York University.

His latest CD production with the rock and roll trio PHAM!, “ac-ro-nym…”, has garnered critical acclaim, was nominated for “CD of the Year” and is in rotation on a number of radio stations.

Believing strongly in the healing power of music, he performs regularly with his group, “City Rhythm”, for Hospital Audiences, Inc., bringing rock and roll music to those who would otherwise not be able to experience it.

As the supervising faculty member of the internship program at Mercy College he regularly acts as mentor to students aspiring to be in the music business. He believes that “the music business is not learned from a book but from other people in the business.”

He is the owner of Robert Porembski Music, a full service music production house in NYC and was recently inducted into the Cathedral Prep Sports Hall of Fame for outstanding achievement on the basketball court.
