Higher Than Pope are primarily a guitar band. Much of their work depends heavily on syncopated rhythms and guitar. Most of their songs are bouncy and musically upbeat with lyrics that are hint at other things...there is something a bit off-kilter here an undercurrent that is slightly off, a suggestion that things are not always as they seem. The songs are infectious and mostly have an alternative pop feel.
