JAMES GARDINER brings more than 30 years experience in the music and recording industries, and has earned more than 42 gold and platinum album awards and credits to his name as an award winning composer, arranger, orchestrator, producer and highly skilled 2-time Grammy nominated recording, mixing and mastering engineer.

James Gardiner embodies a compilation of multiple disciplines that have been seasoned and matured to an incredibly high level of expertise. This enables Gardiner to fulfill a wide range of musical achievements. Some say Gardiner is the contemporary Stravinsky, Henri Mancini, John Williams, or Alan Silvestri. He has been referred to as the next Duke Ellington and Quincy Jones.

Gardiner studied at the famed Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. He then took residency with the famed European master composer Bonia Shur to study the art of film composition. Gardiner was commissioned to compose and conduct several works for the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. Following his studies, Gardiner was recommended by Herbie Hancock and appointed by Governor Evans for a four-year commission to become the sole "Composer-in-Residence" for the state of Washington, where he taught college-level music and composition, developed and produced many young recording artists such as Kenny G, EnVogue and now film composer Mark Isham.

Gardiner has worked and performed with such artists as Deniece Williams, Bobby Kimball, BlaqueIce, Destiny's Child, Will Smith, Michael-John Toste, Brian McKnight, Nikita Germaine, Vanessa Williams, Jody Watley, Too Short, Master P, E-40, Grover Washington Jr., George Benson, Ron Carter, Sammy Davis Jr., Donny Hathaway, Bill Withers, Bobby Hutcherson, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Barry White, John Lee Hooker Jr., Rickie Lee Jones, Eddie Money just to name a few.

Gardiner's filmography as a soundtrack mix engineer includes Bad Boyz II, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Dr. Doolittle, Tales from the Crypt, Sugar Hill, Menace II Society, Boyz 'N the Hood, Howard the Duck, video games such as Mach Warrior 3: Pirates Moon, B17-Flying Fortress, Top Gun: Hornet's Nest, Star Trek: Birth of the Federation, including shows for television for MTV-Interview: William Floyd of the San Francisco 49er's.
