Raul Ramirez was born in Puerto Rico. After graduating in Chemistry from Georgia Tech he went to study Music Production and Engineering at Berklee. In Boston he was the drummer for the Latin rock band Spanish Flies, whose music was licensed for the surf video 'la bruja' which included tracks by ROBI ROSA. In 1995 he co-founded the Latin rock band Sofia and had medium rotation on MTV Latino. For 2 years he worked at ISLAND RECORDS, then for MTV. In 2001 he played bass for Moxi and earned 'best rock band' in Miami. They landed a TV commercial for the beer TECATE. In 2003 he released ECOMUSICA VOL.1 - THE CHILLOUT SESSIONS, which reached #44 in the Top 100 Electronic albums in Canada. Several tracks landed radio rotation in Alfa Rock (105.7 FM), the most legendary rock radio station in Puerto Rico. In 2005 he was named ‘DJ del Momento’ by the International magazine Musico Pro. Currently Raul is releasing his follow-up album Ecomusica Vol.2: Ambient Lounge.
