I'm a British born Indian that grew up listening to an eclectic mix of eastern and western music, from Bhangra beats to Delta Blues.I love the Blues and the whole Stax records era. The British blues invasion in the 60's was a massive influence on me On the eastern side, I've grown up hearing great singers such as Jagjit Singh, Alam Lohar, Nusrat Fateh Ali Kahn and Gurdas Maan.
I've always felt connected to something special when I sing. Singing and playing rhythm guitar has led me into songwriting and I've been working my skills :) for the last six years living in NYC. For me, songs are expression, the thoughts and feelings of someone experiencing life. I believe in telling a story to the listener, if they want to listen. And the music, well it's all about rhythm and soul...
