Helen Avakian is the International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion 2014, the first female to earn that that title. She is also an award winning songwriter. She has 2 singer/songwriter CDs, I Love the Moon and Vanishing Point as well as a classical guitar duet CD with composer/guitarist Terry Champlin. Helen's latest CD is a solo fingerstyle guitar album with the exception of a duet with guitar star Pete Huttlinger. (John Denver, Lee Ann Rimes.) Helen's guitar playing and singing are featured on Pete Seeger's Grammy nominated final album, "The Storm King."
