Scott Buffington is a full-time guitarist, producer and songwriter. Over the years, he has served as a side-man in bands covering everything from blues and rock to country, gospel and rock-a-billy.
Scott's music has been heard in both feature and independent films. Most recently his original music was featured in the "Fire Truck" edition of the "How'd They Build That?" DVD series.
Scott's first album, "C'mon" was released in 2006. In the style of "lots of Texas and British guys," Scott describes it as "a groovy, guitar-driven instrumental without the hysterics."

A Little History . . .
Scott Buffington bugged his parents for a guitar for a year before finally getting one at the age of 14 . . . He hasn't put it down since.
His musical journey started by spending countless hours playing along with Led Zepplin, Rush and Cream albums . . . instead of doing homework. Encouraged by his guitar teacher, Jerry Coelho, Scott headed to Musicians Institute in Los Angeles for more intensive study.
Over the years Scott has written and performed songs for feature and independent films and worked as a side-man in bands, covering blues, rock, country, rock-a-billy and Christian. He has even gone into the trenches and taught guitar classes for a middle school music program!
In 2006 Scott released his first album entitled "C'mon." Scott says he incorporated the styles of "lots of British and Texas guys," like Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eric Johnson and Davis Grissom to produce a "groovy, guitar-driven instrumental without the hysterics."
Scott followed up his solo effort by working on albums for two different Christian artists: Gregory Scott's "Louder than Words" and Bernard Lim's, "Live Again" (which he also produced). The year 2007 also saw the release of the Dolph Lundgren action film, "Missionary Man" which included Scott's song "Telephonic" in it's soundtrack.
The year 2008 brought an award-winning children's documentary produced by Jim Swindel and Marvelous Media. After hearing Scott's "Flower and Stone," Swindel asked Scott to score the "Fire Trucks" edition for his DVD Series "How'd They Build That?" Scott's instrumental compositions provide the perfect backdrop for an interesting and informative look at the Seagraves Fire Apparatus company and tribute to our everyday heroes, the firefighters, who depend on these marvelous machines.
Currently, Scott is writing and recording new music, playing sessions and producing. He performs weekly in worship bands for Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena and Journey of Faith Churches in Manhattan Beach and Bellflower California. Scott also plays in the band "28 Daze" with long-time song-writing buddy, Bob Sims. When he's not working, Scott enjoys time at home with his lovely wife and daughter in sunny Southern California.
