With over 100 songs written and over 70 songs recorded in his short musical lifetime, and performing in front of over 10,000 filled seats in various venues in the midwest, Erik had fronted the bands Crosswise, Fallen Roadies, and Crimson Vim. He has recently embarked on a solo career with the release of his "Everybody Falls" CD, an album that was created to raise funds and awareness for the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America. Produced by Seattle-based veteran music producer Jilladair Carlson, this album not only inspires individuals in the multiple sclerosis (MS) community, but all who listen. Erik Kjelland bio

Who is Erik Kjelland?

Erik Kjelland started writing and performing music early in his high school tenure at Mineral Point High School in Mineral Point, WI. Music has been running through his veins since he was a child as he watched his parents write and perform music in their church.

Along with a couple of friends, Erik started the band Crosswise, which became his first outlet for his songwriting. After going away to college in Platteville, WI, Erik began to write songs that would form the basis for the popular band Fallen Roadies, which started as a two-man band. After a couple of years the band expanded and recorded two full length albums, a six-song EP, and a Live album.

College graduation came next, and Erik found himself getting married and moving to Madison, WI, where he and a couple of Platteville music scene acquaintances started the band Crimson Vim. With more of a modern rock music focus, Crimson Vim began to build a following in the Tri-state area.

With over 100 songs written and over 70 songs recorded in his short musical lifetime, and performing in front of over 10,000 filled seats in various venues in the midwest, Erik truly believes that music is not just what he does, it is who he is. And who he will always be.
