God has given me this gift of music. As I go through life, most of the time I follow my will, when I do that I get painfull life lessons. These songs are my expression of the difficulties and joy life can bring.

Testimonies

I Loved REWIND! An extremely powerful song, great vocal performance combined with meaningful and heartfelt lyrics. I must say, that I admire your honesty regarding your family's addiction. I am an alcoholic myself but have - with the help of God - stayed sober for over 12 years now.

PK RIPPER is my alter ego. I have to have an outlet for the darkness that seems to come up at times. If I write it into song it takes the power away. Writing music is a strange deal. I can't just sit down and say "I'm going to write a song" It usually starts with me and my acoustic guitar. I come up with a chord progression that satisfies me. Then, my mind memorizes the progression so I can put the guitar down and work on the song while I go through the day. If I come up with lyrics, I write them down and see how they work with the progression.

Hey Paul, Thanks for a very nice review of "What You Do" ! Your music is some of the most interesting and compelling I've heard here. It's rough and not mainstream (but so what), but there's a real soul and passion that's coming right through. I listened to the whole catalog here and really liked it. There's so much to like here including some killer lyrics, vocals, and guitar work on "Its Alright".

Hey Jeff, how is everything going? Are you still playing a lot? I've never used broadjam to reach out and chat with fellow independent musicians. So, here it goes. Have a great day! ! Paul.

PK Ripper,
My name is Brent Hoffmann and I am the Executive Director of the 2010 Industry Meltdown Midwest Music Summit.
I would like to personally invite you to attend this year's IMMMS.
Have you ever asked yourself:
(1) How can I get more paying gigs?
(2) How can I get my songs on the radio?
(3) How can I meet industry pros so they can listen to my music?
(4) Where can I go to learn more/new techniques to market my music?
etc....
All of those questions and more will be addressed at this year's event. You don't want to miss this opportunity.
You can find out more information at - www.industrymeltdown.com
This weekend only - we are offering discounted ticket prices for the Holiday's
Videos at - http://www.youtube.com/user/IMMMSTV
Or you can check out our Broadjam page for more information.

I look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Brent Hoffmann
