Blending classical, bluegrass, progressive rock, jazz, and folk may be difficult, even hazardous, but singer-songwriter and guitarist Dan Costello is up to the challenge. His performance experience ranges from hard rock bands to jazz ensembles to medieval instrumental troupes. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar in 2001 and has worked both in and out of the scholastic realm as a performer, accompanist, editor, composer, arranger, lyricist, teacher, engineer, and tour manager. Costello has shared the stage with Steve Miller, Third Eye Blind, Robert Earl Keen, Chris Botti and other excellent national and local talent. Recently Dan has been on TV as a soloist on Boise City Limits and on the radio with KBSU's Music from Stanley. He also serves on the faculty at Boise State University's Department of Music. Myriad other musical endeavors make for an eye-popping 250-shows-per-year performance schedule. Costello is an outspoken advocate of local grass-roots music.
