Gavin Kaufman is a talented singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist. Born in Northampton but living in Liverpool since 2002. He graduated from LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) with a degree in Music (BA honours) in 2005.

Singing voice: strong and powerful but also able to sing in a delicate softer manner. Has a large vocal range.

During his time in Liverpool Kaufman founded his successful original band, GK & THE RENEGADES, who went on to support The Hoosiers, Scouting for Girls, Wheatus, IAMX and The Underground Heroes, and then went on to headline the Liverpool O2 Academy. He toured the UK in playwrights' Willy Russell and Tim Firth's band, has been musical director/composer for several plays at the Liverpool Playhouse Theatre, founded and performed in his function/covers/wedding band, performed as a session vocalist/instrumentalist on numerous professional albums and produced, arranged, recorded and engineered numerous EP and album projects.
Kaufman founded GK & THE RENEGADES in the summer of 2006. He was the sole songwriter, singer, guitarist in the band and arranged and produced all the songs. He engineered many of their demos most of which were home recordings. Many of these demos received local and internet radio play. GK & THE RENEGADES became very popular in the North West of England and internationally, on the internet, after recording Kaufman's 'tongue and cheek' song 'Girls From Birkenhead'. A professional video followed featuring an actor from the UK soap opera Hollyoaks. The video received over 60,000 plays altogether on the internet. After two and half years Kaufman decided to finish the band and concentrate on his solo career.
He is currently writing and demoing material that will make up his debut EP and live show.
