From age 10, I played trumpet and studied music. Later, I studied voice. I left school at age 15 and took a 2 year Diploma in Contemporary Music (similar to Music Institute of Technology, LA), majoring in voice. I graduated 18 months ago.
I also studied keyboards, drums and bass guitar privately.
Over the 2 year course I performed twice weekly and made guest appearances with local bands, and I performed as part of an all-female band in an extravaganza for South Africa’s leading mobile network. I recently performed in the international launch of the Guess Faces-to-Watch 2006 competition.
Since graduating I have been writing and recording my demo, which was produced in my own "mini studio” at home. I have no vocal booth, nor professional recording equipment. All songs were written by me and some in collaboration with my partner, Cronje, who wrote all the guitar and bass parts. All production and arrangement was our joint effort.
