US born musician Geoff Geer is a guitarist, bassist, composer, songwriter, arranger and singer with a background in production, research, performance and teaching. There are three releases: Nine Lights (rock/alternative, 01/01/2005) (Iain McKinna, Paul McKinna, Niall Muir, artist Blanca Rodriguez Beltran), Lost Connection (world/rock, 01/08/2009) (Lawrie MacMillan, artist Nele Zirnite) and Tadvanalila, The Broken Oracle, A Desolate Market & Through the Six Worlds (classical/experimental, 03/04/2021) (artist Alissar McCreary). Geoff was a guest lecturer at Oxford Brookes (master's modules Approaches to Experimental Composition and Sound Arts; Approaches to Electroacoustic and Live Electronic Composition) and took his viva with Howard Skempton. He has performed with bands/artists like Jonty Harrison, the Kalamandir Orchestra, Callanish, the Anglia Chamber Choir, the Oxford Improvisers, Mawson Road Community Orchestra, the Steve Moore Trio, Heather Burnett-Rose, Tony Looby, Nick White, Agung Mountain, Auld Reekie Rocks, The Dagmars and Know. He has contributed recordings to radio, independent film, the book Wordfest! (Barron's), and was a UK Songwriting Contest finalist (Fields, 2007), with 14 semi-finals (2007-20). Geoff's papers have been read in 114 countries: 'Microtonal Music and its Relationship to Historical Practice' was top 4% on Academia (2019), top 3% (2021-22), top 2% (2023) and 'Merging 20th Century Art Music and Pre-recorded Sound: 17 Pieces' was top 3% on Academia (2023). He has studied with Chandrakant Kapileshwari in Singapore, Abigail Aronson and Steve Wark at Berklee, Kevin Flanagan, Paul Rhys, Phil Brooke and John Banks at Anglia Ruskin, and Paul Whitty, Ray Lee, Paul Dibley, Patrick Farmer and Alexandra Wilson at Oxford Brookes.

Just had a quick flit through a couple of your songs, very original and different. Definitely a unique style, something that is not easy, thought provoking songs for sure. Good luck with them.
