People hearing George's songs for the first time, often suspect they have heard them before. Time and again, in a noisy bar, George will start singing a song, and by the second verse, conversations are abandoned, and heads are turning curiously to look and listen. Singers hear his songs and want to sing them.
George began performing and writing songs as a teenager and has been doing so ever since. He wound up being an integral part of the
burgeoning downtown roots music scene in 80's New York, writing songs that continue to be sung today.
He returned to England in 1991and in 1994 won a competition to write a theme song for National Music Day.
He now concentrates on writing & recording but continues to perform regularly on both sides of the Atlantic.
He has recorded several albums. He is currently working on a new solo album, and finishing up a second Whateverly Brothers album with Jono Manson.
