REMARKABLE TALENT EMERGES FROM U

In a Region most known for economic repression, crime and political corruption, one Ohio based entertainment company proves that there are diamonds in the rust.

Out of the rust and into renewal, a newly formed record label, NIAYANA RECORDINGS takes a unique approach with independent artists.

The company's new CD, entitled, "NIAYANA RECORDINGS presents The Compilation Version 1.0" is being released Today, January 12th. The CD features nine vibrant artists with a unique array of musical styles.

As recently reported in Entrepreneur Magazine, Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley has been targeted as a prime market to start new businesses and the entertainment industry is no exception. NIAYANA RECORDINGS has previously released material by the Youngstown based Jazz Funk ensemble 'SounDoctrine' and Adult Contemporary artist Jim Couchenour who's music is featured nationally on the cable based Weather Channel. The Compilation CD is the first of many CD's NIAYANA being prepared to launch in 2010.

"We feel the Youngstown area has some of the best kept secrets in the world when it comes to musical talent," says company Chairman, Gerald Beulah, Jr. "We like to use to term "Pure Music. NIAYANA can now be a platform to present our area's very talented artists to the world."

The Compilation CD offers listeners a multi-genre sampling of artistry representing everything from CCM to Gospel to Hip Hop to Jazz Fusion. "Our Vision," says Beulah, "was to encompass the best of all musical styles and not just be known as a Jazz or Hip Hop or even a Christian label.

We produced Pure Music that the entire family can enjoy. This release represents our goals in a way that many will find extreme, yet inspiring because of the continuity that exists in the music and the artists!"

"Version 1.0" showcases original music by Joe Thomas, Worship Pastor of Victory Christian Center in Coitsville, Ohio; energetic Hip Hop stylists, Divine Soldiers of Akron, OH, Nu Soul' artist Stefano who employs elements of R&B and Spoken Word; new CCM singer Allison, Acoustic Soul artist TaRee, Worship Leader and aspiring Missionary, songwriter, Jon Austin; Cleveland Ohio Jazzpel artist, Phillip K. Jones II as well as music from label mainstays Jim Couchenour and SounDoctrine.
The album will be available at Borders Books & Music Stores and Barnes & Noble locations. Online purchases and downloads can be made via CD Baby, Tune Core, iTunes, Rhapsody and Amazon.com.

"We are excited about this album and the artists we have. We believe that the release of this album helps to shine a positive light on Youngstown," says Marketing Director Ross Lytle.

Here's some of the reviews SounDoctrine has received:

"Powerful, Precise, an excellent production from beginning to end! This album has my vote for the hall of fame!"
"Perseverance". I think I have worn this CD just about out lol. - John Anderson – © October 2003 Host – On the Horizon/ New Artist Radio (newartistreadio.net)

The music does not disappoint. It’s a collection of deep grooves, heartfelt vocal performances and lyrics which have a deep resonance. SounDoctrine has chosen to launch itself in a secular market in order to spread its message. It would be so easy to produce conventional music for a well-established audience, but they avoided it. This is daring in just about every way. - Chris J. Mann © Smooth Jazz Report –U.K. September 2003 (smooth-jazz.de)
