Kate has been a well-respected Northwest singer-songwriter for many years, her music receiving comparisons to that of Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell, and Sarah McLachlan. Her music is often deeply personal, and may be silly or sacred in nature. She has opened for or shared stages with Buddy and Julie Miller, Bill Mallonee of the Vigilantes of Love, and Peter Himmelman (a spur of the moment invitation). In the 1990's she co-owned Seattle's Madison's Cafe and Music House, where she performed occasionally as well assisting with music promotion and many other aspects of the business. As a promoter, has worked with artists such as Sam Phillips, The Indigo Girls, Shawn Colvin, and Over the Rhine. She was also a founding member of Woodsong Concerts and helped to MC the Woodsong Music and Arts Festival on Orcas Island. Now Kate lives east of Seattle and plays with her band Americana Blue at festivals and private events.

"Would you play into my fear
kidnap my heart and disappear
or could you be shelter from the storm"

Kate... I'm so humbled by the power in your song...
So moved by the grace of your voice.
I feel stopped in my tracks... sent back to my soul... and invited to a deeper healing.
In gratitude,
R
