Born and raised in Boston, MA, Patrick DeCoste (pronounced "dee-coast") began playing guitar at age 14. He has studied at the Boston Conservatory of Music's Summer Institute and Berklee Guitar Sessions as well as earned full-tuition scholarships to attend Berklee's 5 Week Summer Program. During that time, he also was involved in several projects as part of Berklee's "Summer Youth Scholarships for Talent and Excellence in Music" program.
He has been ranked as high as #1 in the "Guitar Rock" category of MP3.com's Massachusetts charts and #3 in the "Instrumental Artists" category of MP3 Australia. His first recorded single, "Breaking the Silence," was used during the season for home games of the ECHL Professional Hockey team, The San Diego Gulls. DeCoste currently continues to perform throughout Boston and surrounding areas and has started to receive air play on local college and internet radio stations. His debut album release is currently scheduled for spring of 2004.
